ในชีวิตประจำวันของเรา มีเหตุการณ์ที่พวกเราไม่อาจคาดการณ์ได้ และไม่ว่าเราจะเตรียมตัวไปให้เต็มที่ก็ยังมีคำถามต่างๆ ที่ต้องคาดคะเน เช่น วันนี้เราจะได้เงินหรือไม่ ?, เราจะเจอเพื่อนใหม่หรือไม่? เป็นต้น ทั้งนี้ก็อาจทำให้เราไม่สามารถวางแผนชีวิตเป็นประจำได้ แต่ในบางครั้งความไม่แน่นอนก็อาจเป็นเรื่องที่น่าตื่นเต้นและเป็นช่วงเวลาที่จะทำให้เราเติมพลังใหม่ ให้กับชีวิตของเรา
ฉันเคยฟังเพลงชื่อว่า “บุตรแห่งโชค” คือเพลงที่บอกถึงเรื่องของโชคลาภที่ผู้ฟังไม่สามารถคาดการณ์ได้ว่ามันจะมาเมื่อไหร่ มาในรูปแบบใด และมันจะมีผลต่อชีวิตของเราอย่างไร โดยเฉพาะในชีวิตของคนไทยเรามีประเพณีและความเชื่อที่เน้นกี่ยางในเรื่องของโชคลาภ ซึ่งบางครั้งอาจทำให้เราเชื่อในการเป็นโชคดีหรือไม่โชคร้ายสุดๆ
ซึ่งบางคนอาจมองว่าหมายถึง “ชิงโชค” นั่นแหละ เป็นเรื่องพื้นฐานของชีวิตคนไทยในการต้องไปลงข้างลูกเพื่อร่ำรวยถึงโชค เพราะฉะนั้นเมื่อคนไทยพูดถึงโชคลาภ มักจะนึกถึงศักย์ศรีทางศาสนา การเลือกราชาธิดาในการเล่นหวย การใช้พิมพ์ในการตัดสินใจ หรือการใช้ถังน้ำ ดังนั้นเราจะมาติดตามความเชื่อนี้ในหัวของเรื่องนี้
